History of Ten Horse Farm

Ten Horse Farm has been owned, operated and maintained by the same family for over 100 years - through five generations. The property was recently restored by the youngest member of the 4th generation and returned to its farming roots.

Located in Georgia’s historic “Plantation Trace” region, Ten Horse Farm was once one of the largest working plantations in the area during the 19th century. Back then, a plantation was not measured by the number of acres it contained, but rather by the number of horses needed to farm it. That's the origin of the name "Ten Horse Farm."
